TCL Adopts TI's 2.5G Solution for Low-Cost Handsets

TI has announced that TCL will use their 2.5G wireless platform for low-cost 2.5G handset development. TCL has planned to leverage TI's 2.5G solution and DRP-based single-chip handset technology to address the increasing demand for low-cost handsets. The first handset developed with this solution is expected to be commercialized in October 2005 with a price tag of US$40.
